I depict a face in the background of the landscape and a distorted face in the foreground. The multifaceted nature of the face serves to divert attention from our obsession with our own faces; however, the fact remains that we all possess a face, and this reality is inescapable. By employing perspective in my work, I seek to achieve a balance—preventing myself from becoming overwhelmed by obsession while maintaining an awareness of reality.

I create installations and paintings centered around themes such as gaze, face, gift-giving, and violence.
